POTENTIAL SIDE EFFECTS

  • Any joint injection: Pain, infection, bruising, bleeding into the joint, joint pain, joint swelling, damage to skin/muscles/nerve.  
  • Steroid side effects: allergies, “steroid flush” (warm face), anxiety, mood change, change in menstrual cycle, weight gain. All temporary.
  • Hyaluronic acid side effects:  additional side effects include headache, back pain, nasopharyngitis, influenza, joint swelling.
  • PRP or Stem cell side effects: there is no increased risk of any autoimmune reaction. You will be using your own blood for the procedure.
